About Permanent Makeup
Permanent makeup is the technique of using specialized, highly-detailed machines to insert pigment similar to that of tattoo ink, into the layers of the skin in order to mimic the look of natural lashes or makeup. These delicate, cosmetic procedures require years of experience to master and an exacting precision to implement. The Royal Med Spa permanent makeup artists have spent years developing expertise in this very specialized field.
More recently, techniques similar to permanent makeup, referred to as “Micro-Blading”, have become popular alternatives to traditional cosmetic tattooing treatments. While they both offer similar benefits in the short term, only permanent makeup is capable of offering extended longevity. Many permanent makeup procedures last up to 10 years before requiring a retouch or fading over time due to sun exposure, as compared with Micro-Blading, which may completely fade within 1-3 years.

Permanent Makeup Areas
The most traditional areas to get permanent makeup is along the brow line, and as an added lash enhancement, permanent eyeliner. The eyebrow area can be customized to add more shape or to deepen the overall color, or both! You may choose between different styles as well, such as the “individual lash” approach or an allover color technique. This usually depends on the density of your existing brow line.
The lash line is typically done to define the lash line or can be enhanced further to mimic eyeliner. Many clients report that having this procedure done has limited their need to use eyeliner and even mascara.
Many of our clients, after receiving one treatment, have added the other for its many benefits! And while immediately after the procedure the pigment is strong, over a few days and weeks, it will fade to appear completely natural.
We also offer lip coloring as well as a permanent lip liner. Here, your technician will also review your overall goals and choose a custom pigment for your lips. This is a wonderful treatment for people who have a very light or an undefined lip line.
All procedures are administered using a topical anesthetic, so that little to no pain is felt during your procedure.
